It seems like such a long time has passed since we, as Americans, could engage in an intellectual, or discourse involving the free exchange of ideas and then debating the merits in a civil manner. There used to exist the idea that people could freely hold differing opinions and view points but could present their opinions in a manner which would stimulate thought and consideration from those who were listening to such debates. The end result was that people could form their own opinions based on the logic, merit, and facts that were presented during such exchanges or debates. Today, even the concept of open and merit based debate seems to be a foreign ideology that is lost to us. Instead, we are faced with a stark and frightening concept that in modern vernacular can be referred to as “Cancel Culture” by the “Woke” people of the Left.
So what in the world happened and why is this the case? Over the past number of years, this cancel doctrine began appearing, primarily at the time, on college campuses and Universities across America but largely in places like Berkley in California for example. When people who hold a more conservative worldview would attempt to present their ideology on said college campuses, they were met with outrageous displays and examples of behavior typically seen in third world or countries run by Communists or Dictators. College students would begin shouting down every attempt to speak and would even take to the streets where property would be destroyed or burned in mob reaction.
Sure, parents dole out vast sums of money each year to send their impressionable children to these over funded breeding grounds for anarchists and group think. Let’s be honest, not only the Education System but our entire higher learning institutions are controlled and run by hard line, radical Leftists, who eagerly spew venomous and typically anti-American ideology and force their view points down the throats of their captive audience whether they or we like it or not. Personally, I would object and refuse to fund such blatant indoctrination and brainwashing as is happening through America in the name of Education.
Today, the slightest infraction or incident could trigger and result in untold property damage, never ending riots, and ill informed mobs of people taking to the streets to riot, burn, and destroy what they don’t like. What might have begun as even remotely justified crusades for reformation has devolved into base hatred, rioting, and the spewing of ideology designed to result in one thing and one thing only, the absolute destruction of our way of life and Western Civilization based on what the Founding Fathers created nearly two and a half centuries ago. The Free Market System, based on Capitalist ideas is decried as the great Satan to any and all who prefer a tyranical or dictatorial form of governance such as socialism, communism, or just plain anarchy.
The Left bemoans the greatness and success of America as being some how systemically unfair, racist, or evil in their eyes but offer no valid solutions to the problems they believe to exist whether real or fantasy. Their solution instead, appears to be nothing more than burning or tearing it down to the foundations leaving in its wake, a smoldering ash heap of destruction. So indoctrinated in hatred of America that the tolerance for any or every idea that is in opposition to the “Approved Leftist Doctrine”, is absolutely intolerable and not allowed in any form be that free speech, or even free thought. Not only do they disagree with such political philosophies as Conservative, Christian, etc. but any attempt to express such ideas will be met with all out attempts to utterly destroy whoever is trying to express such ideologies. This treatment is on full display daily as what used to pass for our Mainstream Media mindlessly drones on about the evils of President Donald Trump and anyone who dare to support him while spinning, twisting, and misrepresenting anything that Trump, Conservatives, attempt to even say.
This travesty has been allowed to become reality because far too many have been paralyzed in fear of the perceived retaliation or disapproval from Leftists. Met with little to no opposition at all, radical Leftists have been allowed to take to the streets, under the banner of outrage at some imaginary wrong doing such as systemic racism, while attacking those who disagree with them and the destruction of everything from statuary representing historic figures, or the burning of buildings and property, up to assault or murder of anyone they deem as targets, mainly Law Enforcement Officers. This mob rule and group think has been on full display playing out on computer and television screens throughout America for numerous months now all while weak and feckless leaders cower in the corner in abject terror.
If this is the so called, “New Normal” then my position will be one of total resistance and repudiation to this terrorism. It far exceeds what typically would be angry shouting of differing view points to anyone who would listen but would be peaceful historically to what we have now, violent, abject hatred and mob rule. Were it not so serious and potentially critical, it would almost be comical if you think of it in terms of showing a Cross to a Vampire invoking absolute revulsion and shrinking away in complete terror. Such is the reaction of the Left at any time in which a Conservative might begin speaking and expressing ideas in opposition to the inflexible, dictatorial beliefs of the Left. Or, like the historic feud which took place between the “Hatfields and McCoys” which resulted in needless death and destruction between the two feuding families based solely on differing opinions and worldview. Such is the reality of today which will only get worse if not met with resistance and opposition immediately. Wake up America, life as we know it is in imminent threat of complete destruction!
