History has been made, a black man has been elected President and we now have a completely new Administration.  After all of the tear stained faces, tingles up the leg, and songs of praise for Obama, now what? For the entire campaign we got our answers in magical and mystical words and phrases delivered in the utmost manner of eloquence by an undeniably articulate Barack Hussein Obama. “Change we can believe in” and “Hope” were heard unceasingly and without end. But, details of exactly what kind of change and hope in what were far and few between.  After eight years or pounding by the mainstream media and the unending portrayals as everything from Hitler to the Grim Reaper there was little doubt that according to the media that Bush was wrong, misguided, and possibly just out right stupid. Never mind that this country is and has been safe during the entire Bush term, never mind that Iraq is now free, never mind that the surge worked.

 

And then came the cabinet appointments and yes, we saw change indeed. We went from the evil, misguided, republican administration to the wonderful, enlightened Obama Administration with as many Clinton people as he could possibly plug into slots. No lobbyists will be allowed in the noble and transparent Obama Administration either, well after the two or three that will be waiver-ed to serve now anyway.  And hey, we have a Treasury Secretary who could not bring himself to bother with paying his taxes for say four years but gee whiz, he is sorry and can definitely dictate how the rest of us will pay them.

 

Let’s remember, the democrats have been in charge of Congress for the past six years, right? This means that the economic troubles have been what, that’s right, under the watchful, enlightened eyes as such pillars of integrity as Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.  Forget the fact that they are in charge it was Bush who caused all of the troubles with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I suppose Bush made them make all of those toxic loans at gunpoint, right? And let us not forget that the solution to all of these ills is to simply give Barney, Chris, and the rest of the democrats over a trillion dollars to spend on such corrective economic stimulus as birth control, billions for Acorn, or a couple billion for sod for the National Mall. Call me skeptical but gee whiz, just how does spending over a trillion dollars on every imaginable “pork plan” the democrats can come up with help us exactly? I must have slept through the liberal economics class or spending for liberal democrats 101 class because I sure don’t get it.

 

It the situation wasn’t so dire it would almost be comical and certainly laughable but unfortunately it is deadly serious. Speaker Pelosi would have us think that she is non partisan, just don’t mention that she shut the republicans completely out of the process of bill drafting and refuses to allow them to offer any amendments whatsoever. I suppose the new definition of non partisan is any republican who goes along with the liberal democrat agenda and votes against the GOP stance.  And let us not forget that Barack Hussein Obama has made incredible gestures to the republicans even going and sitting in with them to listen to what they have to say and suggestions that they might have. Why isn’t that just wonderful? Never mind that he reminded them that he wasn’t going to take any of their advice and that after all, “I won” was thrown in their faces. Just the fact that he was magnanimous enough to give them audience was worthy of sighs of adoration by his followers and true believers.

 

The hard truth of the matter is that we, the American people are going to have every conceivable form of socialism rammed down our throats as fast and hard as Barack Hussein Obama and his followers can manage it. From the flurry of Executive Orders all overturning Bush directives to getting the largest pork barrel spending bill in history passed by a party line vote in the House, all we have seen is what certainly appears to be an almost childish attempt of rubbing in our faces the fact that the democrats are in complete control and will do as they please.  What is even more frightening is that we ain’t seen nothing yet either.  Left unbridled and unchecked we will be able to do little else other than watch as our Constitution and our rights are trampled on completely.  Even though European Socialism is failing and the Europeans are moving away from it, our enlightened  and progressive new Administration can’t run left, hard or fast enough.   

 

Those of us who believe in our Constitution and our Republic can do little else but watch in abject horror as we are being steered down a hard left path to socialism.  We can all pray for strength as we strive to oppose this travesty and struggle to rebuild a viable alternative. For now we are pretty much just observers as the bully pulpit is squarely in the hands of a misguided, philosophically flawed bunch of Utopian seeking miscreants. Conservatism is in exile, but just for now. Pray for America, pray hard that we survive.

The new racism seems to be anything criticizing, questioning, or disagreeing with Obama.  Regardless of context, anything that could even remotely be construed as being contrary to being in lockstep with Obama could be considered or even labelled as being racist.  Interestingly enough those decrying anything and everything racist almost always seem to be those who have a vested interest in racism such as Al Sharpton or Rev. Jesse Jackson. Now that history has given us a non Caucasian President for the first time racism seems to be broadening to encompass not only speech, or deeds, but also thought. Under the guise of political correctness which alone is an extremely dangerous process which paralyzes with a fear of repercussion or retaliation anyone guilty of such an infraction.  Obviously those in the mainstream media who so eagerly promoted the election of the first liberal, black to the office of President, are the first to decry racism at every opportunity should anyone dare object to anything Obama.  Those who try to inject race into any discussion simply for the purpose of political gain are below contempt and are simply despicable. Incapable of intelligent debate based on fact, logic, and reason discussion typically degrades into childish tantrums and atypical name calling and smearing.  Even when giving the benediction at the Presidential Inaugural, Rev. Lowry simply could not resist injecting a racist jab with no outcry to be found from anyone in the mainstream media.  Apparently, such actions will be given a pass and are therefore approved because Obama has been elevated to the highest office in the land.  Does this mean that rather than being  judged by the content of our character first that we will be judged by  the color of our skin? Especially if we dare to disagree with Obama and such actions will warrent the label of racist? Only time will tell. May God bless America!
