What exactly is it that the Democrats want to accomplish? The Bush presidency is winding down and the 2008 campaign season is in full swing. Honestly, other than opposing anything and everything that Bush does or has done I am at a complete loss to understand what the Democrats want to do.
There is certainly no lack of misleading rhetoric, double speak, flip flopping, and endless attacks on all things Bush. Ok, so what will Democrats do differently other than complain about the way things are being done now? Not only is there a deafening silence with regard to exactly what they would do and how they would go about doing things differently but I have yet to hear specifics about anything other than whatever Moveon.org tells them to do.
Other than to criticize the current Administration, the Iraq War, and pandering to the extreme left wing, what have the Democrats done? There is an ongoing assault on family values, the constitution, and our representative form of government but there has been little success getting anything done. The grand amnesty deal was soundly beaten thanks to the massive efforts and uprising of grassroots organizations throughout flyover country. Most of the legislation being offered by the Democrats almost seems to be dictated by the extreme left wing.
So basically, other than raising taxes, assaulting marriage, religion, the constitution, and embracing socialism at every turn, what will the Democrats do should they gain control? Personally the thought of it scares me to death and sends shudders of fear through my entire being.
