What liberal causes are successful?

Liberalism seems to have proliferated wildly in our government, judicial, and society for the better part of the past four decades if not longer. For reasons beyond my ability to understand it seems that we have simply rolled over and allowed this to happen with little to no resistance. So how did this happen and more importantly, why did it happen? The most striking example for me is what happened in the public school system beginning in the early sixties with the removal of religion and prayer. I distinctly remember classrooms with the ten commandments on the wall and starting the day with prayer at first and later on a moment of silence. The moment of silence was the beginning of the end of prayer in school and was brought about because of complaints of some kind.Today we see political correctness being taken to the most extreme and ridiculous possible levels in the public schools especially during Christmas. Songs that in any way reference religion are now banned as is any reference to the true meaning of Christmas or Jesus. In some cases the very term Christmas is replaced with idiot phrases like Winter Holiday. Trees are called Friendship Trees many other ridiculous examples of hysterical, knee jerk reactions to political correctness. Unfortunately it seems that Christianity is being targeted for elimanation while anything to do with Jewish or Islam beliefs are acceptable.Other than education, what causes or issues that are primarily controlled by liberals are successful? Which liberal philosophies and management systems have worked? Has liberalism succeeded in winning the so called war on poverty, or the war on drugs, or anything at all? What are the wonderful successes that liberals can claim and the shining examples of success that we can gaze at with wonder and amazement? If the liberal approach has failed with every issue or cause that has been undertaken then why in the world would we continue to allow liberals to be in charge of anything? If liberalism is a failed philosophy or belief system and is based on emotion as opposed to logic and reason then what makes liberalism so wonderful? Oh sure, we all like to feel good about ourselves but at what cost to our country, society, or everything that is based in logic and reason? What has the liberalization of the judiciary done for us? The state of our public education system? Our form of government? Society at large? It seems that just when I think it is safe to go back into society, something even more ridiculous and incomprehensible pops up that leaves me shaking my head in stark disbelief. It seems that everything that I have believed in has or is being challenged by some wacky, nonsensical version of bizarro reality. With liberals, everything seems to be subjective and relative with no absolute definitive clear understanding of what is right or wrong.  Self reliance and rugged individualism are sacrificed on the alter of political correctness.  The idea of the state is elevated to that of some kind of supreme deity and the state is the solution to all ills and evils.Unless I am mistaken or blind, I am unable to find the shining examples of how or where liberalism has succeeded at all. And if liberalism has failed miserably in being successful in any endeavor then why would we continue to even allow it? Doesn’t it make more sense to return to some form of reason and logic based belief system as opposed to relying on knee jerk emotional responses to every approach? It certainly seems like it is time to awaken the sleeping giant which is the much too silent majority in our country and return to some semblance of sanity.
