So what is Mahmoud Ahmadinejad doing running around in the US being given the red carpet treatment? There is something fundamentally wrong with this whole picture. Is this man not a sworn enemy of the US? Has he not promised the destruction of the US? Does he not supply weapons and supplies to enemy combatants who use them to kill young men and women in the military? So what in the world is Columbia University doing inviting him to speak there? How would Columbia have treated General Petraeus if he were speaking instead? First of all it is no secret that Columbia University is very liberal and embraces anything that leans left. Of course, Columbia will not allow ROTC on campus but yet rolls out the red carpet to our enemies. This is being done under cover of what is touted as “Free Speech”, yeah right. And, we are told that there will be tough questions posed to the Iranian leader.What makes them think that he will answer tough questions and if he does, why should we believe that we would be told the truth? This is little more than a gesture of open contempt for this country and a slap in the face to patriotic americans.This man even had the audacity to ask to be taken to Ground Zero! This is beyond offensive and the mere fact that consideration was even given to such a request is unconscionable. As for the much anticipated speech that is to be given, well I’m sure it will be enlightening. At the very least it will be entertaining and will most likely require the willing suspension of disbelief.
