For Americans, when we are born, the Constitution of the United States of America specifically lists the above three referenced rights. So, “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” are enumerated specifically. Of course those who are curious can certainly do an academic deep dive into each word specifically to understand more thoroughly what they truly mean. Essentially, these rights are natural or inherent rights. Christians will tell us that these are “God given” rights and this is the position supported by your humble author. To God be all glory and honor for having created us and given us life to begin with. The absence of life would make everything else moot and without this precious gift, we would not exist to begin with. Therefore, we must be born, and having been born, we have the natural right of “Liberty”, and a mind with free will to pursue happiness as happiness is not a tangible thing but rather a construct of our minds and emotions.
Ok, so these things are inherently guaranteed to us naturally and not granted to us by a government or “Man”. So why then do so many “Men” which of course includes women as well, seek to deny us any or all of these rights? The simplest reason is quite simply for control. The recent pandemic which has plagued mankind for the better part of the past nine months or the majority of the year twenty twenty has been the result of COVID19. Regardless of where this blight on mankind originated (Wuhan, China), it has devastated and decimated life as we know it pre-Covid19. The toll has not only been staggering with regard to death but also to the loss of the ability to work or earn an income, and certainly to the destruction of businesses that were not deemed “Essential” by those in control of the states and cities impacted the hardest.
The results or unintended consequences of COVID19 has certainly given rise to tyrannical and draconian restrictions being placed upon us in the form of loss of liberty. In some cases, leaders order us to remain at home, to wear masks in public, and have even sought to ban or close our ability to worship in churches, synagogues, or mosques. COVID19 has presented certain leaders the ability to expose themselves as the petty tyrants and dictators that secretly, they would gleefully embrace otherwise. What this means is that leaders, primarily of one political party especially, have granted themselves the ability to make unreasonable and ridiculous demands under the guise of providing concern for the masses overall. Some have wielded this power as a bludgeon to club their political opponents into submission as demonstrated with the closing of churches or religious gatherings but allowing liquor stores and strip clubs the ability to continue operating.
But wait, isn’t that a restriction of our freedom to worship freely which is clearly defined and addressed in our Bill Of Rights? Why yes, it certainly is but that never stopped a petty, would be dictator before. Simply look at California and how the Governor of California has sought to restrict or diminish the ability of churches to operate or hold services but were rather ordered closed and locked down. Fortunately, the Supreme Court Of the US stepped in and remanded Governor Newsome’s ridiculous order. The so called “Peaceful Protests” which have played out ad naseum on our televisions daily were considered fine but churches had to be closed for safety sake, we were told. Never-mind the fact that so many people were crowded together and were massless during the “Peaceful Protests”, they are “Leftists” and therefore immune to the orders and restrictions of other Leftists. Fortunately, many of otherwise complacent people comprising the silent majority are reaching their limit on tolerance for this blatant hypocrisy and double standard from radical leftists who excuse themselves from the orders that the rest of us are forced to endure. The result is that many of us have been pushed beyond our limits of tolerance and patience and are starting to push back and stand up to the rampant abuse of power that has not been granted to these people but rather usurped.
It is no secret that in the world of politics that the love of power and control is like the most addictive drug that we could ever imagine. A simple look at how it has played out throughout the very history of mankind, worldwide, paints a very clear picture of the rise and fall of tyrants and thugs from the beginning of time. The result is nearly always the same, the rights of the people, are taken away and they are forced to attempt to survive under the harshest conditions imaginable. They are born, but certainly not given liberty, and rather than being able to pursue happiness, they are forced to pursue survival without food or any other necessity of life. A very good illustration in our recent time frame is Venezuela which was the shining jewel of South American prosperity and resource riches galore. That was of course, until the rise of a radical, Socialist, who plunged them into poverty, starvation, and anything other than the pursuit of happiness, except of course for the Leader and his supporters. The horrors of such a regime is always the leaders life of luxury and wealth while the governed are forced to try to exist without the most basic commodity of food, income, or anything else.
Radical, power hungry, tyrants will always go to great lengths to take power and control over anyone possible. To the radical left, the ends justify the means which equates into lying, cheating, and stealing or gaining power at all costs. This of course has played out right in front of us as the twenty twenty United States election cycle has turned into a clown show of every conceivable manner of fraud, cheating, and corruption that could be imagined. This discussion will be taking place for sometime to come. Make no mistake though, despite the fact that our rights, especially those enumerated in the Constitution and Bill Of Rights are natural, not granted by man, radical leftists will not hesitate in any way to trample upon our founding documents and seize control of our lives if an opportunity to do so presents itself. In short, you will be ruled by thugs and dictators who will determine every aspect of your life simply because they say so. This will not play out well for the governed. Wake up America!
